The Great Indian Sports Channels

Most of us in India love cricket. They say cricket is a religion in India. Hmm, thats just too much to say though.
There are quite a few channels these days which broadcast this religion live for us. Or do they? May be they broadcast adverts more than cricket...
I feel it miserable and angry when these sports channels rob us few crucial moments of our favorite sport.
The bowler just takes a wicket and the next millisecond there is a advert, you cant even see the replay immediately. Adverts are shown as soon as the bowler finishes delivering the bowl. They don't even wait for the wicket keeper to collect the bowl and the umpire to say Over.
Some times, we can see only 5 bowls in an over, the first bowl is lost for the adverts. Specially when it comes to DD and Neo, they are the masters in the above skills. Robbing us the crucial moments.
But do we have any other choice? We have to still continue watching it in the same way. I know they run the business to make money. But you need to be fare to your viewers.
Well, another part is commentary. These channels hire some commentators who don't know how to comment. They might be getting them for low rates compared to some good but costly commentators. Finally, we have to suffer.

How can we avoid this? If I could know....

What salary do you deserve

Does anyone actually think about this. Most of us think we deserve more than what we are getting right now and may be few of us think that we are getting what we deserve. The second kind of people are generally those who are paid pretty well.
Well, infact, is it really important to know the answer for the title question. We are suppose to work more and always aim for better pay. This approach is good. But need not be right always.

One person must always climb one step at a time in his/her career to be stable on the top. Skipping a few steps and reaching the top fast may not keep you there for a long time.

There is a saying which I always believe in - "Never take a job which is too big for you, rather take a job which is big enough for you"

In my experience, this has always held true. if we are in the right job, there is always satisfaction and joy in your work.

And since salary is directly proportionate to how big your job is, we must make sure that we are aiming for the right one.

So think before you say your expected CTC to any employer next time.

Microsoft buying out yahoo too!!!

As always, microsoft trying to buy another company. If we move a few years back we would say yahoo was a rival for microsoft.
Yahoo was doing great back then. Yahoo mail and messenger were no match for services provided by microsoft.
But now its google. Google is ruling the sectors now. Take gmail or gtalk or orkut. Its dominating over other similiar service providers like microsoft, yahoo and aol.
But for some reason, most people would not mind if google dominates the market. If it was microsoft, many people would have been cursing it.

Ok now, comming back to the main topic, microsoft is buying yahoo, but what is it trying to do. I really doubt if it would make any difference. People seem to love google and they like to stick on to it i suppose.
But again, cant be sure of anything, only time will tell. Lets wait and see what microsoft comes up with.
